Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi reminded Antonio Conte of his quality with a brilliant goal in the club’s U23 clash with Southampton.
The Belgian striker was one of a number of senior stars selected in a surprising line up against the Saints.
Kurt Zouma, John Terry and Cesc Fabregas also started the game with Conte keen to give the quartet game time after Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Chelsea found themselves 1-0 down within five minutes against the Saints but, after receiving the ball with his back to goal, Batshuayi turned and unleashed a fearsome strike to level the game.
