Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has named Chelsea’s Victor Moses as the toughest opponent he’s ever faced.
Moses arrived at Stamford Bridge four years ago and was expected to leave the club this summer after spending time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham.
But the Nigeria international has been one of the standout performers in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system this season, and Shaw concedes the winger gave him the toughest game of his career during his early days at Southampton.
‘A lot of people rinse me for it, but Moses is the toughest opponent,’ Shaw told Tobiias.
‘The power and strength he had… so direct, he never gave me a second to breathe.
‘I was pretty young, it was either my first or second season with Southampton, he was, now when I think back, my toughest game I’ve had.’
