FRANK LAMPARD reportedly doesn’t plan to return to Chelsea in the immediate future as he hopes to continue his playing career.
The Blues legend will leave MLS side New York City in December when his contract expires.
And the ex-England international has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge to become a coach.
Lampard was also in the running to become the next MK Dons manager.
However, according to ESPN, the 38-year-old has snubbed the Championship side’s offer over the vacant managerial position.
They add that Lampard also has no immediate plans to return to Chelsea should he decide to retire.
The midfield maestro instead wants to continue his playing career and is reportedly considering offers.
ESPN reckon he wants to extend his career for at least one year before hanging up his boots.
