DAVID LUIZ insists Chelsea’s team spirit is amazing.
And it’s hardly unsurprising given their recent run of form.
Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Sunday saw them go top of the Premier League table with a sixth-straight Premier League win.
Luiz has had a huge part to play in that run having helped Chelsea to keep six consecutive clean sheets.
The Brazilian, who returned to Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day, has predominantly featured in the middle of Antonio Conte’s back three.
But he insists he’s happy to play wherever the Italian boss asks him too.
“I just try to do my best, it doesn’t matter which position I play in, I think everybody understands that philosophy and that’s why we’re doing well,” Luiz told the club’s website.
“The spirit is amazing and when you have that it really makes a difference. I’m happy to be playing in the team and I’m happy to be a part of this family.”
The 29-year-old is set to line up alongside Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill on Saturday when rivals Tottenham make the short trip across west London (5.30pm).
