Michael Duberry believes his former club Chelsea will continue getting “stronger and stronger” under Antonio Conte.
Chelsea are currently second in the Premier League sitting a point behind leaders Liverpool.
One of the inform teams currently Duberry is confident Conte’s side are on the verge of something special.
“I have been really impressed with Chelsea over the last few games, and as a former defender myself, I love a clean sheet,” Duberry told Sky Sports.
“People questioned his formation change during the Arsenal game but he had a plan to get the team playing the way he wants.
“Now I think it’s a case of him getting in the right personnel to play the roles he wants and I think they’ll only get stronger and stronger.”
After a difficult September, in which Conte’s men only collected one point from an available nine, they’ve gone on to record five consecutive victories.
Among their victims were champions Leicester City, Manchester United now managed by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, Southampton and Everton.
All of this coincided with a formation change, the Blues under the Italian tactician began in a 4-1-4-1 shape before reverting to a 3-4-3.
The switch took place in the second half of Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal and since they’ve not conceded whilst registering 16 league goals in the process.
Next up for the Blues is a visit to Middlesbrough before hosting Tottenham Hotspur and then a mouth-watering tie with Manchester City.
