INTER MILAN are reportedly set to test Chelsea’s resolve with a £50million bid for star striker Diego Costa.
Diego Costa has helped fire Chelsea to the top of the table with 10 goals from their opening 13 league games.
The striker has made no secret about his interest in leaving Chelsea for a return to old club Atletico Madrid.
In the summer transfer window the Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo confirmed the La Liga side made an attempt to re-sign their former striker.
Chelsea blocked any potential move but Costa reportedly was reportedly desperate to return to the Spanish club to work with Diego Simeone.
The Atletico boss will leave his post at the end of this season making him one of the hottest managers available and Inter Milan are interested in making him their head coach for next year, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.
And Inter owners, Suning Holdings Group, hope that having Simeone at the helm would tempt Costa into a move to the Serie A club.
Inter recently sacked Frank De Boer last month and replaced him with Stefano Pioli but the Italian side hope by bringing Simeone into the club, they will be able to attract star players such as Costa.
