Chelsea transfer roundup: Oscar to leave? Diawara to Chelsea and much more in January window
January is just one and a half months away, and every football fan knows what it is all about. It’s not just about a new year, but it also means new players, if your club is eager to get them that is. So let us take a look at what the latest transfer rumors regarding Chelsea are.
Oscar to head to Italy?
Brazilian star Oscar has not seen much of first team action lately. While it is true that much of it is due to the fact that he was on compassionate leave following the demise of his grandfather, even Oscar himself will know that in a 3-4-3, where Matic and Kante are making it a habit of bossing the midfield in pretty much every game, getting a first team berth will be an arduous task.
In such a circumstance, may be Oscar will need to look at other clubs who are showing interest in him. One such club is Serie A giant Inter. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 25 year old is a primary target for the Italian club this January.
Inter had earlier targeted Oscar this summer as well, but could not make any headway. This transfer window, however, might see Inter make a serious offer, since new manager Stefano Pioli happens to be an admirer of the midfielder.
But Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella is of the opinion that Antonio Conte wants the Brazilian midfielder to stay at Stamford Bridge. Apart from a few lapses in the losses against Liverpool, Oscar made some strong performances, especially in the starting 3 matches. So may be after he fully recovers mentally from his personal tragedy, we will see him being brought back into the team. He is only 25, so there is a lot he can do.
Conte to sign 40 million pound star?
According to Warren Haughton, who is a journalist from the Sun, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking at Napoli’s teenage sensation Amadou Diawara. The Guinea born defensive midfielder has been quite a revelation, and with the 3-4-3 looking so good in the Chelsea blue, our Italian manager seems eager to secure the future too as soon as possible.
The youngster was an amateur footballer only few years ago, is making heads turn. The former San Marino player was allegedly “discovered” by Bologna’s Director of Football Pantaleo Corvino, and now has been performing well in Italian football, although he has not made many appearances.
But getting him might not be very easy, since he currently plays for a club called Napoli, who bought him just this summer. And seeing how Napoli reacted to us wanting to sign Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer, it seems Diawara will not be easy to get. But if we do, he is real talent. We just have to wait and see.
