Antonio Conte has opened up on Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

He said: “It’s a big test because Man City are a fantastic team, but Saturday was a good test for us.

“Now we are a different team to two months ago. It would have been very difficult to win the Tottenham game if we were the same team as two months ago.

“I love the mentality of my players, I saw a great attitude and great commitment from all of them.

“I see the will to change something from the past, now it’s important we continue.”

Thibaut Courtois believes Diego Costa can fire Chelsea to Premier League glory this season.

The Spaniard has scored 10 goals in 13 top flight matches helping the Blues to the top of the table.

He said: “Since January he has scored a lot of goals even when the team were not having a great season.

“And this year he is strong, he has movement, he always tests the opposition defence, and for the second goal it was a great move from him and a nice assist for Moses.

Jamie Carragher has praised Eden Hazard and Chelsea’s other world class players as the major reason they have bounced back from last season’s disappointment.

“Chelsea have got very good players, a lot of those players won the title only 18 months ago,” he told Sky Sports.

“I always felt Chelsea would be right at the top of the league. You go through the team they’ve got too many world-class players in there, it’s not just the system.

“Yeah, it’s helping certain players. David Luiz especially and Eden Hazard.

“You shouldn’t forget Hazard in a team with a back-four was player of the year two years ago.

“Liverpool, attacking wise, have looked as good as anyone but Chelsea look like they’ve got a great balance at both ends of the pitch.”
