Eden Hazard has dealt Chelsea a fresh injury scare after picking up a knock on international duty.
Hazard scored before limping off late on in Belgium’s 8-1 thrashing of Estonia last night.
The 25-year-old asked to be subbed 17 minutes from time but Roberto Martinez has since allayed any serious injury fears.
He insists Hazard was withdrawn only as a precaution after taking a kick to the calf.
“Eden Hazard has no injury, but received a kick on the calf,” said the Belgium boss.
Hazard has been in impressive form this season, scoring seven goals in 11 Premier League appearances for Chelsea.
And Antonio Conte will be hoping the former Lille star is fit and ready to face Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Diego Costa is already a doubt for the top-flight clash after withdrawing from Spain duty with a groin problem.
The Blues go to the Riverside seeking a sixth league win on the bounce.
They currently sit second in the table, just one point adrift of current leaders Liverpool after 11 matches.
