It was the 7th of February of this year, and two out of form clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United, met at Stamford Bridge for a Premier League match. It was the 59th minute, and young center half Kurt Zouma started screaming in pain, as he lay on the ground, with his knee in his hands.
The then 21 year old defender, had suffered a horrendous ACL injury, that not only ruled him out for the remainder of the Premier League season, but he also missed the Euro 2016 for France. Poor guy, for a young player to be as talented as him, and miss out on an international tournament of such scale, was a big blow, for both him and his country.
Fast forward to this week, the Frenchman is slowly but steadily, making his way back to full fitness. We had already seen him in the squad that traveled to the United States for preseason, and now he is stepping up his rehabilitation with some matches for the reserves in the Premier League 2.
