ARSENAL legend Paul Merson has named who he thinks will finish in the Premier League top four – and confirmed he is a Chelsea fan.
Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League table after 11 games, but Merson believes Jurgen Klopp’s side will finish the season in fourth place.
He reckons Manchester City will win the title and will be followed by his old club Arsenal and Chelsea.
Despite scoring 99 times for the Gunners, Merson supports the Blues and gave his verdict on their season.
He said: “I’m a Chelsea fan and I’d be disappointed if Chelsea finish above Man City and didn’t win the Premier League.”
But can he see Arsene Wenger’s side lifting their first league crown since 2004?
“No, I don’t see it,” he added.
“They played Middlesbrough at home and were very lucky to get a result.
“They were 1-1 with 15 minutes to go against Sunderland.”
Merson left Manchester United out of his prediction and he thinks it will be tough for Jose Mourinho’s side.
“No (they won’t finish in the top four),” he said.
“I think it’s a big ask. I think they’re well short at the moment.
“You look at Liverpool and Chelsea, they’re playing once a week. It’s a big advantage.
“With Manchester City I just think he (Pep Guardiola) will get it right and buy who he needs to buy.”
Merson failed to mention Chelsea and Arsenal’s London rivals Tottenham.
