Chelsea made it a fourth consecutive win in the Premier League, with a fourth consecutive clean sheet. Southampton fell victim to Chelsea’s deadly efficiency at the St Mary’s on Sunday, as Hazard and Costa both found the net on either side of the interval.

This win, after beating champions Leicester and spanking United, keeps Chelsea a point off the leaders, and brings them into the top 4. Let us look at some of the observations we could make from the match.

1. Luiz is no more the error prone defender.
During his first spell with Chelsea, Luiz wowed us with his free kicks, his flamboyant heading, his aerial ability, but he also cost Chelsea points with some silly tackling. He gave away balls, gave away penalties, and sometimes possession near the box. But during his second spell though, he has been amazing.
