Spanish winger Pedro, who got Chelsea to the most perfect start against arch rivals Manchester United on Sunday, has talked of how close he was to leaving the Blues this summer. The former Barcelona player admitted that he though of returning to the Spanish giants.
Pedro was making his 50th appearance for Chelsea, and pounced on a loose ball over the top from Marcos Alonso, and scored only 30 seconds after kickoff, with Manchester United eventually losing 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. It was a memorable occasion for Pedro.
But it was only because Willian was unavailable due to compassionate leave after the tragic passing away of his mother, that Pedro got the opportunity to make a rare start. He only made his second league start a week ago against Leicester, and then against United this Sunday.
