Spanish winger Pedro, who got Chelsea to the most perfect start against arch rivals Manchester United on Sunday, has talked of how close he was to leaving the Blues this summer. The former Barcelona player admitted that he though of returning to the Spanish giants.

Pedro was making his 50th appearance for Chelsea, and pounced on a loose ball over the top from Marcos Alonso, and scored only 30 seconds after kickoff, with Manchester United eventually losing 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. It was a memorable occasion for Pedro.

But it was only because Willian was unavailable due to compassionate leave after the tragic passing away of his mother, that Pedro got the opportunity to make a rare start. He only made his second league start a week ago against Leicester, and then against United this Sunday.

  1. Chelsea so called fans hates Pedro so much that on facebook and everywhere its words against Pedro. A great player that have won so much with Spain national team and Barca. He didnot get the respect he deserve in Chelsea. Im a true Chelsea supporter and i see nothing but abuse about Pedro on Chelseas official page everywhere.

Pedro is a natural forward did he got any opportunity to play as a forward …never… and finally God have given him opportunity against licester and Man Utd and he scored 1 and given 2 assists in 2 matches. What else you need from a 2nd choice forward. Im sure he can produce many more match winning performances if he gets first team opportunity and he plays beside costa and hazard… he can do more than willian who did so little in 7 matches this season.
