All Chelsea fans who saw the Blues defeat Leicester on Saturday, will remember how at one point during the second half, Diego Costa seemed upset about something. He kept looking at Antonio Conte, signalling with his hand that he wanted to be substituted.
Costa was not injured, but was probably thinking about him being only one yellow card away from a match suspension. The Spain international has picked up four yellow cards during the course of the season, and would have missed the match against Manchester United next weekend, had he been booked.
But Antonio Conte stuck to his own decision, and played Costa for the full 90 minutes. Talking to Sky Sports after the match, the Italian explained the situation:
