While most Chelsea players keep struggling against quality opposition, loanees from the club seem to be making most of their opportunities. We have all seen Alex Kiwomya being nominated for player of the month in League Two, while Tammy Abraham is busy banging in goal after goal for Bristol City.
Another player who has been playing quite well for his temporary club is English midfielder Lewis Baker. Baker has started the season in style, scoring 4 goals already from midfield for Vitesse Arnhem. This is his second season on loan at Vitesse, and he is already on the verge of improving his tally of 5 goals from 34 appearances from last season.
And young Lewis hopes his performances get noticed by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. Obviously scoring 4 goals from 8 appearances is no easy feat, that too from midfield, and that is exactly why Baker hopes his work at Vitesse will go a long way in securing a place in the Chelsea squad, and the starting lineup if possible.
