John Obi Mikel might not be the first choice Central Midfielder anymore, certainly not under Antonio Conte, but there’s no denying the fact that the Nigerian, who is in his last year of contract at Chelsea, would go down in the history books as the legend of the club, once he walks away from the Stamford Bridge. (I know some fans will disagree with me here, but that’s just what I feel).
With the signing of N’Golo Kante, Mikel has fallen down further in the pecking order, not to mention the fact that he missed most of the pre-season due to his Olympics commitment, thus struggling to manage even a single competitive minute this season.
