Chelsea Football Club have always had a fantastic legacy of French players. Legends of the game like Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, Frank Lebeouf, Emmanuel Petit and William Gallas, who are all World Cup winners, have played for Chelsea at different times. Some other famous French players who have donned the CFC shirt are Nicholas Anelka, Florent Malouda and Lassana Diarra.
Currently, we have a young French star in Kurt Zouma, and a less important player from the French contingent in Loic Remy. But at present, the most vital cog in the Blue machinery also happens to be a French player. And that is former Leicester midfield general N’Golo Kante.
And another legendary midfielder from France, who also played for Chelsea, and in the same position as well, has now spoken about how talented Kante is, and how he can master that position and become the best defensive midfielder in the world. Claude Makelele, after whom the same Makelele position was named, was talking to UEFA’s website.
