Chelsea’s loanees, playing all across the continent, have been in the news a lot, and for all the right reasons. For example, Tammy Abraham has been dominating the headlines, with 10 goals from 12 appearances for Bristol City, and has just won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for September.
Lewis Baker too has scored 4 goals from midfield already, and Piazon, just a few miles away from Stamford Bridge at Fulham, has opened his account. Alex Kiwomya too is setting high standards in League Two. But there are some, who are struggling to make an impact, and/or even appearances. And one of them is Christian Atsu.
Atsu, who has been on loan after failing to make any impact at Stamford Bridge, is being linked with a move to the Serie A. The Ghanaian, who signed for Chelsea in 2013 has never made an appearance for the Blues, and has since completed loan spells at Vitesse, Everton, Bournemouth, Malaga and is currently at Newcastle United.
