Chelsea midfielder Marco Van Ginkel, who was on loan at Stoke City and PSV Eindhoven last season, will be missing out on the chance to join PSV on loan again this season due to a knee injury.
After his loan spell at Stoke City in the first half of last season, where he managed to make 17 appearances and scored no goal, Van Ginkel terminated his loan in February and headed to PSV. At PSV Van Ginkel had a very constructive loan spell, scoring 8 goals from only 13 appearances from midfield.
Due to Van Ginkel’s hugely impressive loan spell last season, the Dutch champions were willing to sign him on loan again this season, but unfortunately he has been suffering from a nagging knee injury which will keep him out of football for the next two to three months.
