Just one match remains before Chelsea ushers into the Premier League under new manager Antonio Conte, and preparations are on full throttle. Conte is keen to sign a few more players and increase the depth of the squad, and so, Chelsea are being continuously being linked to various players. Let us take a look at some of the latest Chelsea news coming out of Stamford Bridge.
First up, Lukaku, and Conte wants him. Last we heard, Chelsea were going to make a bid of 68 million pounds with Everton demanding 75 million pounds. But now there seems to be a change in approach. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are now considering offering striker Loic Remy along with 65 million pounds. Remy has no future under Conte, and Everton’s director Steve Walsh wanted Remy last season when Walsh was working for Leicester City. Remy will be offloaded in any case, and if he helps bring in Lukaku, then it will be the best case scenario. (DailyMail)
