Romelu Lukaku. The name is enough to get fans excited, albeit for no apparent reason! The man has always been in the news, mostly due to positive reasons.
The 23-year-old Belgian striker was signed by Andre Vilas Boas for Chelsea in 2011 from Belgian side Anderlecht, having scored 41 goals there. Playing in Chelsea colours, Lukaku never managed to score a goal but was immensely successful in the two loan spells he enjoyed in Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion and Everton where he scored a combined 33 goals.
But after his second loan spell came to an end, and then manager Jose Mourinho couldn’t guarantee him a spot in the starting eleven, Lukaku left Chelsea on a permanent basis to join The Toffees in a £28 million deal.
Since then, he has thrived and scored 45 goals in 94 appearances. But a lack of silverware and European football has instigated Lukaku to re – consider his future at Goodison Park, despite the incoming of new manager Ronald Koeman.
