Chelsea Are Back: Major Win For Conte as Cahill Scores and Fabregas Sees Red


Chelsea’s first match in the International Champions Cup finished in a 1-0 win at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. Gary Cahill was the only goal scorer in the match, that saw midfielder Cesc Fabregas sent off for a horrible tackle on Ragnar Klavan.

Antonio Conte went with a 4-2-4 formation as he handed Azpilicueta, Fabregas and Cahill their first starts. The match also saw appearances for Pedro, Chalobah, Batshuayi and Cuadrado. Hazard, Courtois and Oscar did not play today.

Liverpool started brightly as Asmir Begovicwas called into making a save right at the start. But Chelsea responded with a bang as Cahill scored the goal at the 10 minute mark from a Cesc Fabregas corner, which was won by the once-more impressive Victor Moses.
