Well, if you thought that the “Game Of Stones” had ended with the end of the summer transfer window, you were very, very wrong!
The saga is very much alive and is set to be back in January transfer window. The Blues, as Stubborn as we are, want to secure the signing of the Englishman at any cost this January, and reportedly, we will be back with a fifth bid very in a three months time.
“Chelsea will make a FIFTH attempt to sign John Stones in the January transfer window.
“The reigning champions failed in four bids to sign Everton’s central defender during the close-season and into the first fortnight of the current campaign.
“However, Chelsea will try again when the window re-opens in the new year.
“Stones will have three years left on his contract at the end of this season and the west Londoners will have to bid close to £40million to get their man.”

While, I don’t understand our apparent affection for John Stones that we are ready to shell out a record fee for the youngster. But, one thing’s for sure, we do realize that we are a bit light at the back and, apparently, we are doing all that we can to sort out the issue.
Seems like our failure to sign John Stones this summer window has only motivated Abramovich and co. to come back with more determination and of course money in January.
If you thought that January window was going to be a dull fair, well, my friend, think again!
