The International breaks are cruel! They are unnecessary and disrupts the flow of a club side who are cruising along nicely.
In our case, though, the breaks couldn’t have been more welcomed or came at a better time for us. City have been in an ominous form while we have looked ridiculously hungover on the field. Maybe the International break will help us get back to our best? Or at the very least, disrupt a bit of City’s rhythm?
Only time will tell about that, but as of now, the International break has cost us a player in Bertrand Traore!
The youngster might not be a regular starter in Mourinho’s eleven, but after the loan deals of Cuadrado and Moses, Traore has become an integral part of our depth in the Attacking Midfield. Him along with Robert Kenedy are our only backup options behind the regular 4 of Hazard, Willian, Oscar and Pedro.
Currently on International duty with Burkina Faso, the 19-year-old was left behind as the rest of the squad travelled to Botswana, after sustaining a hip injury.
Stallions boss Gernot Rohr was seen sweating over the fitness of his young superstar, but, in the end, he had to withdraw him from the squad:
“Bertrand had to withdraw due to his hip injury. It is not very serious but it is painful enough to prevent him from playing.”

Glad to know that the injury is not serious. In the situation we are in, we obviously need the luck on our side, which means, no injury issues.
Hopefully, the Burkina Faso youngster recovers fully before the game against Everton!
