We are having a difficult start to the season and one of the reasons for that is Eden Hazard’s bad form.
The Belgian, who won the PFA player of the year award last season, is struggling to find his usual form that makes him such a nightmare among the opposition defenders.
The 24-year-old certainly knows this and explained the reason for our lack of points after 4 game weeks:
“It’s difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you.
“We wear the gold badge and it’s very good. We had a fantastic season last season. If we could do the same this season we’d be good.
“Every day I learn. In training, in the game. It’s good playing big games if you play against a big player you can learn a lot.
“Every day I try to reach a better level. This is my job, every day I try to score. Every game I try to score.
“I just want to be a champion. I just want to be a champion and win everything like I did last season.”

Although, it’s not really an excuse, I can definitely understand what Hazard is trying to say here.
Last season, Manchester City were the defending Champions and we could play without fear or the pressure of the tag, but this season, we are the ones being hunted. Every team is trying to one -up us by raising their games against us. This is probably one of the many reasons we are struggling on the pitch.
Hopefully, Hazard and co. can sort out this issue and get back on track against Everton this weekend.
