Another game, another opportunity for us to get back to our winning ways!
It’s the return of Champions League as Chelsea squares off against Maccabi Tel Aviv at Stamford Bridge tonight. Both the Manchesters club suffered a defeat in their first group games yesterday and it’s time for the Blues, to make things right.
We are expected to rest a couple of senior players as Mourinho mentioned in his press conference yesterday. Here’s how we think Mourinho might lineup tonight:
GK – ASMIR BEGOVIC
No problems here as the Bosnian will start for us in the absence of Courtois.
CB – JOHN TERRY AND GARY CAHILL
Mourinho already said that Cahill is set to feature in the starting eleven tonight. As far as his partner is concerned, John Terry looks set to start alongside him in the Central Defense.
FULLBACKS – CESAR AZPILICUETA AND BABA RAHMAN
A debut for Baba Rahman? I certainly think so! With Cesar slotting in the Right Back, this could be a great chance for Baba to impress on the wings.
CM – NEMANJA MATIC AND RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK
Cesc Fabregas is another player who is set to be dropped for this game as RLC gets his much-awaited opportunity alongside Matic in the heart of midfield.
WINGS – WILLIAN AND ROBERT KENEDY
These are the two positions I am not too sure about, but I reckon it would be Willian and Kenedy who gets the nod over Hazard and Pedro to impress on the Champions League night!
CAM – OSCAR
The Brazilian is fit and raring to go as he starts in his preferred CAM spot tonight!
STRIKER – LOIC REMY
Falcao is carrying a knock and I don’t think Costa deserves a start which means it should be Loic Remy who starts up front for us. Well, at least, I hope so!
