BREAKING NEWS – Jose Mourinho Gives The Name Of Two Players Who Are Set To Start On Wednesday!

Our midweek trip to Walsall to play the third round of Capital One Cup might not guarantee for a flashy fixture, but it will surely require some character and determination from us to come out with a win.

Our opponents might not be bulging with talents like other big European teams, but these lower league teams are full of passion and grit, just like we saw with Bradford City in our FA Cup loss in January. So, complacency? No, there’s no place for that!

With a weekend trip to Newcastle looming around, Jose Mourinho will definitely want to rest his key players and give another chance to his bench strength on Wednesday. And as it turns out, a couple of our bench players are already set to start the game:

“John Terry will return to the Chelsea team for Wednesday’s Capital One Cup tie against Walsall.

“The Chelsea captain has been dropped from the last two games, against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League and Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal, but he returns for the holder’s clash against the Saddlers.

“Diego Costa will be on the bench for the trip to the west Midlands, with Radamel Falcao starting in his place.

“Mourinho has yet to make a decision whether to play young keeper Jamal Blackman, who has never made a senior appearance for Chelsea, in goal in place of Asmir Begovic.”

The news has since been confirmed by our official Chelsea website too.

I, for one, is pretty excited to watch Radamel Falcao starting the game for us! The Colombian, in his limited substitute appearances so far, has looked pretty lively and has made some good runs inside the box. This could be a perfect opportunity for him to score few goals and announce his arrival.

John Terry has been dropped to the bench in the last couple of games and this will also be an opportunity for Terry to get back to his very best as the Englishman has seemed a bit below par this season. Whether Jose decides to hand Jamal Blackman his first start remains to be seen, but I wouldn’t count on that!
