Juventus Admits Defeat In Pursuit Of Chelsea Ace

The tabloids spent much of the summer linking Oscar to a move away from the Stamford Bridge, preferably Juventus.

Even though, Mourinho insisted that the Brazilian was always in his plans for the future, it didn’t stop tabloids from linking him to Seria A winners.

Yesterday though, Juventus managing director Giuseppe Marotta attempted defeat in his pursuit of the No.10:

“We are looking for a midfielder to add to our squad, though not necessarily a particular type of midfielder.

“They will join an eclectic group of midfielders that include Paul Pogba, Claudio Marchisio, Sami Khedira and Roberto Pereyra. Paulo Dybala can play in attacking midfield, too.

“Isco and Oscar are both stellar players, but in the case of Juventus – unfortunately, for now – we will never be able to sign them.”

The Brazilian is an immensely talented player who is important to our plans and it would be stupid to let him go, just yet. There’s a feeling that this could be a make or break season for Oscar. Hopefully, the 23-year-old develops some consistency and silences his critics for good.
