Roberto Martinez seems to be holding on to John Stones just the way a kid hold on to his toys. “I won’t give him up”! “He ain’t going anywhere”! Impressive if you are an Everton fan but frustrating if you are a Blue!
The John Stones saga seems to be going on for centuries. We reportedly already had our couple of bids rejected by the Toffees, but being as stubborn as we are, we haven’t let go of the situation, yet!
Amidst all the rumors that we are considering a bid of over 30 Million Pounds (!) for an inexperienced, decent but “Young and English” Centre Back, Roberto Martinez was inquired once again about Stones’ situation today. Don’t be surprised with his replies:
“The player is not for sale and that is the end of it.”
“Our situation has been very clear from the beginning. We are not a selling club who will lose our best performers.
“He will be a phenomenal young prospect coming into that golden generation we feel we have at the club and he will be a good one for the future.”

Eeeeeeeh! Why do Roberto Martinez has to spoil the party every time! Just when we thought we are getting somewhere with this transfer…
While, I am not sure if John Stones will ever join the Blue army (and at the price reported; I hope he doesn’t), this rumour ain’t gonna end until the transfer window closes. So, buckle up your seatbelts and get ready for a 30 Million pounds bid for Michael Emenalo and co.
Oh, and did I mentioned Manchester United are in for him as well? I am just surprised Arsene Wenger ain’t interested! But then again, he would rather settle for a fourth place because winning the league is just too mainstream for him anyway!
