Ah! The case of Diego Costa and his cotton wool hamstring! That’s what we are calling his hamstrings these days, right?
Will he play? Will he not? If he does, will he solve our striker woes after practically no preseason under his belt?
Yes, the questions are endless going into this season and the answers still not clear. While, Jose Mourinho has refused to be drawn into questions regarding Costa’s injury and has reserved his judgment on his fitness, Costa, meanwhile, is more optimistic about his chances against Swansea.
According to a news published in the telegraph:
“Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed he is in the dark over whether or not Costa will be fit to face Swansea City on Saturday.
Costa, though, is currently more optimistic and believes he can be ready to play if he comes through Friday’s training without feeling any pain.”

It should be noted that the Telegraph doesn’t have any news source listed so this can merely be a rumor, or maybe some inside information?
I am not sure if Diego Costa will be able to start in the season opener, but there’s no doubt, we currently need the Spaniard more than ever, to lead our attack against the Swans. If there’s any truth to the story and he is indeed fit, expect him to start straight away!
