United Looking To Hijack Chelsea’s Deal For Star Player

We reported few days ago that Pedro to Chelsea was imminent and it was just a matter of time before the Spanish winger joined the Stamford Bridge outfit. But guess what? Manchester United are looking to hijack our deal for the 27-year-old as they look to bolster their attack after the departure of Radamel  Falcao and Robin Van Persie.

According to news published in various tabloids including the Guardian:

“Louis van Gaal is hopeful of buying Pedro from Barcelona to increase Manchester United’s attacking options, with the manager poised to trigger the forward’s release clause of £22m.

“Robin van Persie has departed United for Fenerbahce to leave Van Gaal with Wayne Rooney as his only recognised frontline central striker. The Dutchman wants to play 4-3-3 and Pedro’s versatility in being able to operate across the frontline is attractive.

“Chelsea are also monitoring the player, but it is understood he is minded to join United.”

United has already secured the services of top players like Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, and Memphis Depay while the Blues have been surprisingly dormant in the transfer window. Pedro to Chelsea has been something the fans have been looking forward to, but United look to be in the pole position to hijack this deal.

Maybe, this is the time Mourinho should consider making that “phone call” after all!
