Sources Confirms Striker’s Loan Deal To Chelsea

At long last, after a transfer story that threatened to wither away as a mere rumour, Radamel Falcao has completed his loan move to Chelsea from Monaco!

According to reports published in The Express and The Colombian TV , the striker’s father and uncle have confirmed that Falcao has put pen-to-paper on a deal that will see him earn a cool £130,000 per week. We may even have the option to sign Falcao on a permanent basis at the end of the season for £35 million if we wish to do so.

It will interesting to see whether the Colombian can resurrect his career following the disastrous campaign he had at Manchester United last season, where he scored just four goals in all competitions. The Special One though, knows that the real Falcao, who established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe during his time at Porto and Atletico Madrid, can still be a major force to be reckoned with.

Mourinho even had few good words for the Colombian during an interview last month:

“If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it. It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United.
In Spain, we were together when he was at Atletico, and I was at Real and I know him very, very well … he is a great player.”
The 29-year-old will spend a couple of weeks with his family in Colombia before joining our pre-season tour of America.

We are also expected to announce a couple more signings this week. Asmir Begovic is close to signing after a £8-million deal has reportedly been agreed with Stoke City. Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan is also rumoured to be on Chelsea’s radar, as the Turkish international’s agent revealed that he wanted a move to the Premier League.

The opinion among the fans on Falcao is split, with many believing that this is not the right move for either party. With Loic Remy now feeling insecure about his place, the Frenchman may even look for a move away from Stamford Bridge. If we do not get in an able replacement, and if Falcao misfires, all the goalscoring responsibility will be on Diego Costa.
