Chelsea In Pole Position To Sign The Chilean Star

Chelsea are reportedly inching closer to signing a deal that will bring Chilean International Charles Aranguiz to London. The star midfielder impressed everyone with his performance in the Copa America where he helped his team lift the prestigious trophy for the first time in 99 years!

Reports also suggested that French side Marseille and our North London rivals Arsenal might also be interested in the player. But with Chelsea in the hunt, there’s only one obvious winner, right?

The 26-year old is a huge talent and is a disciplined player and could add a lot of depth and threat to our midfield. He has scored all the 19 spot kicks he has taken in his career so far. His chance creation is exceptional and can threaten Oscar for a starting position that will push both their performances to the highest quality.

As a matter of fact, the world class stars already set in Chelsea’s midfield and the forward line could have some competition if brings his 2014 form. Completing 86.2 percent of his attempted passes for his club, he outperformed the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas in the completion stakes.

According to latest reports from ‘The Times’, Marseille have pulled out of the negotiations and have given up on signing the player, and Chelsea seem to be in pole position to wrap him up.

Internacional own 70% of the economic rights of the 26-year old player and would profit hugely from his sale. In their current economic status, any profit would be welcomed with open hands by their board. So it gives us all the more reason to expect him at Chelsea next season.
