Breaking News – Is The Chelsea Striker On His Way To Besiktas?

The inevitable is happening! With Radamel Falcao completing his loan move to Chelsea, this was bound to happen sooner or later!

Loic Remy, the super sub, the man who scored some crucial goals for us last season, is en route to Besiktas on a loan move. Following the footsteps of Demba Ba, the Frenchman, in the search for regular playing time will move to the Turkish side with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan spell.

According to the express:

“Remy will join the Turkish giants on loan with a view to a permanent deal. The Super Lig side consider Remy as the perfect replacement for former Chelsea man Demba Ba who has recently joined Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua for a fee believed to be in the region of £9million.”

So, there goes our backup striker! It was obvious that Loic Remy wanted more playing time, but Chelsea probably didn’t want to sell/loan him to a Premier Club hence, Besiktas it is!

Now, if Remy does move on loan to Turkey, it leaves us with two Strikers for four competitions. Doesn’t make sense, right? This also means we will probably be in the market for another striker. So, who would it be?

Charlie Austin is the one name that comes to mind right now. Although, having Patrick Bamford as the third choice frontman wouldn’t be the worst decision either. There are also plenty of other names like Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain that have been linked to us in the past. Anyways, if this loan deal goes through, the market just got more interesting from our point of view!
