Okay, so Mourinho has already started talking about Radamel Falcao like he is a Blue!
Weeks of anticipation and rumors looks to be on the verge of ending as Falcao puts on the Blue shirt, hopefully! Talking to a South American TV channel, DirecTVSports, Mourinho made his love for Falcao public while, the Portuguese also blew off all the rumors regarding the other Colombian too; Yes, I am talking about Juan Cuadrado!
You probably know how the media have been linking the Colombian winger for a move away from the Bridge as of late. It’s just been six months since Cuadrado joined the Champions and the media have already tipped him with a return to Serie A. Makes perfect sense, right?
Good thing we have Jose Mourinho as our manager! Talking to the DirecTV Sports, this is what the manager had to say when askedabout the winger:
“Cuadrado is not going anywhere this summer. People don’t know Cuadrado yet, I have seen him many times when we were both in Italy, me at Inter and him at Udinese.
Because of that I have a lot of hopes for him for next season. I hope in the Copa America he can regain his self-esteem, his ego and that he has that joy of playing.”
Well, if you were still thinking that the Portuguese would ditch the Colombian after just 6 months and a very limited playing time at the Bridge, the first line says it all!
Signed as a replacement to Schurrle, the lightning fast winger is yet to show his true class with Chelsea. I still remember watching him in the FIFA World Cup last year and hoping that only if Willian could perform like that on the Right Wing!
Sure enough, with the signing of Cuadrado, the Brazilian has raised his game to a whole new level and now, only if Cuadrado can regain his lost touch next season, we are all set to defend our Premier League title and hopefully challenge for Champions League too!
On a side note, Falcao and Cuadrado looks to have an understanding akin to Fabregas and Costa. Just saying!
