Barcelona are set to lose some key players such as Xavi, Dani Alves and maybe even Pedro. The Catalan club are looking to bring in some young talent from the academy and curb them to replace these stalwarts. Pedro has struggled to get any playtime since the arrival of Luis Suarez and has decided to leave the Spanish champions in search of regular first team football.
So to replace this Spanish winger, Barcelona have reportedly sent scouts to the South American U-17 tournament to recruit exciting young prospects for his position. And one player who has caught their eye is Paraguayan Sergio Diaz. However, Chelsea are already said to be holding final talks with Diaz’s father over signing him.
According to Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo, Diaz’s father is said to have flown to London to discuss the move to Stamford Bridge last week. The deal is reported to be in its final phases. Chelsea have already won all available youth cups this season are set to add another young talent to their youth squad. It is safe to say that indeed the future looks bright for the club.
