Alex Ferguson Flattered By Mourinho, Says Chelsea Going To Be Successful For Years

Former Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson, who is considered as the most successful and accomplished manager in English football history had all praise for Mourinho in a recent awards function and said that the Special one was a winner and would have a lot of success in the coming years at Chelsea.

Mourinho won the League Managers’ Association award but could not be there to receive it. Ferguson who presented the award said,

“He deserves the award. I thought he had the best squad. John Terry played every game.

“Champions will always be the ones to beat. Jose knows his squad well. He’s settled. It’s going to be a very successful few years for Chelsea.”

Jose also bagged the Barclays’ Manager of the Season award recently for the third time. He helped Chelsea to clinch two titles this season and looks set to make it bigger in the next.

Stats show how serious Mourinho is about work with his win percentage and points ratio being some of the best. He mainly has a upper hand on all the other title contenders in England, barely losing to any of them.

Many have come to criticize the tactics and methods adopted by him, but he gets his job done and Abramovich seems content, so what else. He came up with a cheeky presentation at the Chelsea awards night taking a shot at City, United and Arsenal for their shortcomings and how they blame others for it. (Jose always has something interesting up his sleeve and never ceases to entertain us).

Mourinho seems to have a long term plan for the club and it’s future. We wish him many such successful seasons at the Bridge.
