Amongst all the transfer rumors that have been going around for the past few days, Chelsea received a bad news at the weekend, as the Blues loanee Victor Moses, who is having a brilliant season at Stoke City, picked out a hamstring injury during Stoke City’s 1-1 draw against West Ham, that rules him out for the rest of the season.
The Nigerian International who went out on loan to the Potters last summer on a season-long deal has made 19 Premier League appearances for Mark Hughes’ side, scoring 3 important goals and creating 32 chances, just one less than his team-mate Marko Arnautovic; that’s how influential he has been at the Brittania Stadium!
The news comes as a major disappointment to Victor Moses who experienced a very frustrating campaign last year at the Anfield when he made just 6 appearances for the Merseyside club. The Winger finally looked to have found his form with Stoke City this season with Jose Mourinho reportedly interested in cutting short the former Wigan players loan deal and bring him back to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window while, Mark Hughes also keen to secure his transfer on a permanent basis.
But Alas! this news can prove a major setback to the 24-year-old’s career which was finally showing some promise this season. How does Victor Moses’ career pan out after this injury remains to be seen in the summer, but at this point, it is highly unlikely that he will be a Chelsea player next season.
