After last week’s reports claimed that Chelsea are set to complete a £4.7m switch to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Paranaense, the player himself took to Twitter to confirm that he will be in the stands at the Emirates on Sunday to watch his new club taking on Arsenal in the Premier League.
Nathan’s Twitter account read, “Wandering a bit London, tomorrow I go to the Emirates Stad watch the Chelsea game.” While not much is known about the 19-year-old Brazilian prodigy, it is highly expected that could be loaned out immediately for regular first team action elsewhere before he gets his chance at the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The Express suggest that the player has already undergone a medical but the paper is yet to be completed before the deal is officially announced. Nathan is thus enjoying an extended holiday in London and will soak in the atmosphere at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
The youngster sparked interest from a host of European clubs following an impressive display at the 2013 Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and was linked with a move sooner rather than later. Nathan is expected to be at home at Chelsea given the Samba contingent of Willian, Ramires, Filipe Luis and Oscar in their squad.
