Jose Mourinho To Leave Chelsea? [INSIDE STORY]

The future of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea has been cast into doubt after rumors emerged that Barcelona would try to lure the highly rated Blues boss to Camp Nou this summer.

This speculation (source: express) was fueled when Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes was spotted with former Barcelona president Joan Laporta during a secret meeting in Madrid.

Joan Laporta enjoyed a fruitful spell (2003-2010) as the president of the Barcelona Club de Football, having earned two Champions League and four La Liga titles in his club’s name. After his time at the Spanish club, the current president Josep Maria Bartomeu is now being forced to move the presidency forward next summer because of the belief that his position in charge of the club is not legitimate. Hence, the elections are due for the same and Laporta is a strong favourite to return to the club again.

As per the claims in Spanish media, should he return to the club, he will try to persuade Jose Mourinho to Camp Nou. Jose Mourinho already has some strings attached with The Catalans where at one point of time, he had worked under the current Manchester United and Netherlands manager Louis Van Gaal.

The iconic Blaugrana legend Johan Cruyff’s reaction:

“Sport is a game which holds many possibilities, but in this case they are unlikely to be feasible. I don’t imagine that Laporta would bring in Mourinho.”

Chelsea have just announced a record-breaking profit of £18.4m and a record turnover of £319.8m for the year ending 30 June 2014. It is understood that Roman Abramovich is meaning for some changes to take place with immediate effect; one of which is to provide for longer reigns of the managers. That is, unlike the last decade or so, managers will be provided with a significant amount of time to shape up the squad, and The Blues owner will not continue to believe in the signing and firing strategy anymore.

And Besides looking at the current form of The Blues and strong faith of the Chelsea board in Mourinho, there is strong hope among the supporters that he will be the one to take the club forward for years to come. This is only because Jose is that suitable, that appropriate for taking charge and playing the ever-so-critical managerial role for Chelsea Football Club, and if any change is to be brought in that position, it should be because of recurring mistakes and/or indecision, much like the case of Roberto Di Matteo. However, this is very unlikely to be seen in Mourinho, who is considered one of the best football managers in the world, and in the eyes of Chelsea fans alike.

The world is very familiar as to how much Jose loves Chelsea. He has expressed his infinite love towards The Blues and to supporters time and time again. Earlier on this season, and in multiple press conferences, Mou has expressed his desire of long stay at the Bridge because of his love for The Blues.

Hence considering Mourinho’s love towards Chelsea and Blues ambition to be superpower with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, the deal involving Camp Nou is looking highly unlikely as of now, and in the near future.
