John Terry’s secret sorrow and ambitions
In an interview with Chelsea TV, Captain John Terry has praised Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa on how they have easily settled into the team and made an early impact in the Premier League. Chelsea is yet to lose a game this season, and the captain gives a lot of credit to the duo upfront.
John Terry has been delighted with the way in which both players have adapted to their new surroundings.
‘Cesc has been here [playing in England] before so he knew what to expect, and he’s hit the ground running,’ said the skipper.
‘With Diego, strikers can take months and months [to adapt] but he’s scored eight goals already, which is superb, that’s great for us.
‘He’s a great character, without speaking a word of English he gets by and gets on great with everyone. He’s come to the Premier League to win, he made that clear in pre-season.’
The Captain also revealed his strong desire to win the trophies. Even though, he has achieved many in his successful career at Chelsea Football Club, his hunger for the silverware as a blue seems insatiable.
‘I just want to win trophies; that’s what I was born to do, it’s been in me since I was a kid,’ he said.
‘I was in tears behind closed doors at us throwing away the Premier League last season and not winning it. It’s emotional, that’s what I play for week in, week out and I’m never afraid to show my emotions.’
True that captain! Let’s win some this season.
