Report: Chelsea Set To Fight With Arsenal For £15million Valencia Striker
Metro reports today that Chelsea and Arsenal will battle it out for highly-rated Valencia forward Paco Alcacer in January, after the young Spaniard’s red-hot start to this season has convinced the two London rivals to make a move.
Alcacer made his debut for the La Liga club aged only 16, and a goal on his competitive debut for the Spanish national side last week has alerted the Premier League sides to his ability to perform on the biggest stage, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The youngster has 22 months left on a contract that includes a £15 million release-clause, but his hesitance to pen a new deal suggests that he could be open to a move to England.
Alcacer also has a taste for the spectacular, and if these goals are anything to go by he’d certainly be an exciting addition to the Premier League.
