Jose Mourinho has revealed that Benfica striker Talisca is one of two long-term Chelsea transfer targets.
He also claimed that various clubs had tried to approach Brazillian young forward, but none could secure his signing because of work permit problems.
Benfica manager Jorge Jesus claims English clubs were none the wiser as to the ability of their new signing, saying:
“They knew him about as well as I know D’Artagnan and The Three Musketeers.”

Mourinho, of course, would not let such a tongue-in-cheek comment go by like nothing, and responded:
“I’m glad to see he’s reading Alexandre Dumas. I admire him for that. I’m not that cultural. I limit myself to grammar.
“I don’t like when a professional colleague doubt my words. Talisca is one of two players we’ve been scouting since 2012.”
Talisca scored a hat-trick on his Premeira Liga debut, as Benfica’s beat Vitoria Setubal 5-0 in an away encounter. However, he is yet to score in the three consecutive games he has played so far.on.
Mourinho did not admit to who the second target is, and knowing Jose, he most likely never will.
