Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has shown his concern over Diego Costa injury and has revealed that he can not play three games in a week in an interview with Sky Sports.
Diego Costa was not the part of the starting XI for Chelsea’s game against Schalke. Didier Drogba started in place of the Spain forward. However, Costa and Remy did feature later into the match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Jose Mourinho on Diego Costa injury
“Costa has a problem,” Mourinho said. “He came to us (from Atletico) and he was completely fine. He had a problem again in the national team, not with us. If he has one week to let the muscle recover he can start a game. Playing on Saturday, three days is not enough for him to recover.
“He was not in condition to play,” the Portuguese continued. “Sunday we believe he is. Next week against Bolton (in the Capital One Cup), for sure he isn’t. We have to manage the situation until the moment he’s completely fine.”

Costa scored seven goals in his first four games in the blue shirt, including two against Everton in Chelsea’s 6-3 win at Goodison Park and a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.
