There was quite a lot of anticipation going around this fixture when Chelsea took on the defending champs Manchester city in their own backyard and it was termed as the Match of the season so far but within the first 15 minutes it was apparent that there was only one team who was going to dominate this fixture.
The home team looked at ease controlling the possession and the rhythm of the game though never having a clear goal scoring chance during the visitors in turn come pinned back in their own half, defending deep and were never allowed to change their gear. But once the hosts were down to ten men Chelsea had the edge over City taking the lead, but then squandering it away in the dying minutes. In the end though it was a fair result with both sides deserving a point out of this game.
