In a dominating second half performance, Chelsea FC beat Leicester City by 2 goals to 0, with Diego Costa and Hazard finding the back of the net at 62 minutes and 77 minutes respectively.
Leicester City defended well in the first half of the match, and made sure that the blue boys from west London couldn’t make the early inroads into the match. However, with the start of the second half, Chelsea started pressing hard. The result soon came as Ivanovic was able to break into the penalty area and made way for Diego Costa to score the first goal of the match, and his second in the consecutive matches.
Hazard soon cemented the lead through a stunning goal on Cesc Fabregas’s pass in 77 minutes, and the game was over for Leicester City.
Mourinho rightly described the game,
‘The first half showed clearly we still have a lot to improve, but the second half was good. It’s important not to lose points.’
