Can Petr Cech Leaving Chelsea be a Reality?

The rumours relating to the Chelsea future of Petr Cech continue to generate large numbers of column inches.

Whilst some news sources seem to believe that Cech will not be leaving Stamford Bridge, the majority are of the opinion that his time is up and that Thibaut Courtois will be Jose Mourinho`s first choice keeper.

The rumours relating to this have been fuelled by the fact that Mourinho played Courtois in the recent friendly against Real Sociedad, although the boss was quick to play down, after the game, any suggestion that Courtois would start against Burnley on Monday night.

My own view is that Cech will be gone come the closing of the transfer window, my thoughts being confirmed by the signing of another contract by the aging Mark Schwarzer during the summer.

If Cech is allowed to leave it`ll see the end of the Chelsea career of another of our heroes from that nigh tin Munich, but where could Cech end up?

Well according to several news sources this morning, as you`d expect, there`d be no shortage of takers with it being surmised that three top clubs, in the shape of Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain and AS Monaco would all be prepared to offer the 32 year-old keeper a decent contract.

Personally, I can think of worse places to enjoy a career swansong!

  • No Number 1 Keeper not moving. Remember that CFC enforced that they have 2 World Class Players in each Position, Case Rested. And Mr.Media leave CF© Employees ALONE!_!!!
