Manchester City vs Chelsea

The clash of the Premier League titans is back again but this time it’s in the FA cup, one of the oldest and entertaining knockout tournaments in the history of the game.

Memories will still be fresh in the minds of City players after they were outclassed by a tactical Chelsea side not more than two weeks ago.

Chelsea qualified for the 5th round of the FA cup having beaten Stoke at Stamford Bridge in the 4th round with a mesmerizing free kick from Oscar.

Manchester City on the other hand survived a scare from lower league side Watford but recovered in time to make it to the 4th round.

This tie presents some sort of relaxation from the race for the title which has been pretty exhausting for the teams and exciting at the same level for the fans this year.

The FA cup however has its own charm and is definitely an exquisite addition to the trophy cabinet for any team.

Chelsea have a tremendous record when coming to the FA cup and it is an astonishing fact they haven’t lost an away FA cup tie in the last nine years.

Manchester City’s first trophy after their complete financial revamp was the FA cup too when they claimed the prize in 2011.
